Installation and regulation
of power tool elements
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains.
Do not draw up the fastening elements
too tight to avoid damaging the thread
Mounting / dismounting / setting-up of
some elements is the same for all power
tool models, in this case specific models
are not indicated in the illustration
Mounting / dismounting parallel guide (see fig. 1)
[HKS12-59]
Fig 1 shows parallel guide 23 mounting / dismounting
operations
Replacement of the saw blade (see fig. 2-4)
After prolonged operation, the saw blade
can become very hot, remove it using
gloves. This will also reduce the risk of
injury by the cutting edge.
• Mount power tool on the side end of the motor as
shown in fig. 2.1, 3.1.
• Press down spindle lock 7 and rotate saw blade 3
manually in order to lock it in a fixed position. While
pressing down spindle lock 7, unscrew bolt 4 with the
help of wrench 20
• Use lever 13 to turn sliding guard cover 14 clockwise
against the stop
• Remove from spindle 25: washer 26 (for HKS21-79
only), external flange 5, saw blade 3, internal flange 24
• Clean all fixing elements with a soft brush and mount
on the spindle 25: internal flange 24, saw blade 3,
external flange 5, washer 26 (for HKS21-79 only), screw
in bolt 4 manually
Attention! observe the following rules during in-
stallation:
• follow the mounting sequence (see fig. 4); avoid
bending during mounting;
• before mounting saw blade 3, make sure that the
mounting opening diameter fits the diameter of the
projected parts of internal flange 24;
• arrow direction marked on saw blade 3 should co-
incide with arrow direction on guard cover 2;
• mount external flange 5 with bevel edge out-
wards
• Put sliding guard cover 14 to its initial position
• Press and hold spindle lock 7 and tighten bolt 4 with
wrench 20 Release spindle lock 7
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power sup-
ply voltage must match the information quoted on the
tool identification plate.
Switching the power
Switching on:
In order to switch on the power tool, push lock-off but-
ton 18 and while holding it in position, push on / off
switch 6
Switching off:
In order to switch off the power tool, release on / off
switch 6
the power tool operation
Dust suction allows reducing dust concen-
tration in the air and prevents its accumula-
tion at the workplace
While operating the power tool, always use a
vacuum cleaner suitable for collecting process-gener-
ated dust
on the power tool operation
Cutting depth setting (see fig. 5)
Before starting the operation, adjust sawing depth de-
pending on the work piece thickness The best cutting
edge quality is achieved when the projected part of
saw blade 3 does not exceed tooth height
[HKS12-59]
• Loosen fixing lever 22 (see fig. 5.1).
• Set required sawing depth on scale 19, lifting or low-
ering the power tool body (see fig. 5.2).
• Tighten fixing lever 22 (see fig. 5.3).
[HKS21-79]
• Loosen clamping handle 17 (see fig. 6.1).
• Set required sawing depth on scale 19, lifting or low-
ering the power tool body (see fig. 6.2).
• Tighten clamping handle 17 (see fig. 6.3).
Cutting angle setting (see fig. 7-8)
The power tool enables smooth cutting angle adjust-
ment within 0°- 45° range
• Loosen:
• fixing wing nut 9 for HKS12-59 (see fig. 7.1);
• two wing nuts 9 for HKS21-79 (see fig. 8.1).
• Set required cutting angle on scale 8, changing pow-
er tool body inclination angle (see fig. 7.2, 8.2).
• Tighten:
• fixing wing nut 9 for HKS12-59 (see fig. 7.3);
• two wing nuts 9 for HKS21-79 (see fig. 8.3).
