CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
To ensure the safety of the vehicle, the turn
signals must be securely and firmly fixed – if
a turn signal falls off while you're riding your
motorcycle, it could cause an accident.
You must therefore proceed as follows:
Separate the two halves of the fork-mount turn signals using a
3 mm hexagon key. Then place both halves around the fork tubes
above the lower triple tree without trapping the power cable in the
process, and join the halves. Make sure that the gazzini name logo
is facing upwards. Check again that the cable is in the optimum
position without being trapped and screw the two halves of the
fork-mount turn signal together with the hexagon socket screw.
The turn signal must then rest firmly on the fork tube and not be
shiftable. If the turn signal can still be shifted, you can remedy
this using the included self-adhesive rubber strips with different
material thickness. As a result the turn signal is suitable for fork
tubes with a diameter of 39–41 mm.

4.4 | Electrical connection

LED turn signals only light up if the positive cable (+) and the
negative cable (-) are connected correctly. The cables have small
marker tags for identification. Connect the red positive cable (+)
and the black negative cable (-) of the new turn signal to the supply
lines of the removed original turn signal. For this purpose there
are various options, e.g. using the Japanese connector as an aid,
with optional seal connectors or with small soldered joints. It is
imperative that the soldered joints are insulated with heat shrink
tubing. To do so, the heat shrink tubing is pushed onto the cable
before the cable is soldered. Then pull the heat shrink tubing over
the soldered joint and shrink it on with a cigarette lighter or a hot
air gun.
