5 | How to use

First check that your motorcycle is suitable for safely using the Rothewald Rear
Wheel Removal Aid – the tyre width of the wheel to be removed must be between
90 and 220 mm. If you use a motorcycle stand to jack up the motorcycle, check
that it leaves enough space for the Rothewald Rear Wheel Removal Aid so that both
products can be used together.
When removing the wheel, the workplace should be clean and well-lit and the
surface level with suffi cient load-bearing capacity. Prepare the tool required for
removing the wheel. Place the motorcycle securely on the stand. To use the
Rothewald Rear Wheel Removal Aid, the wheel must be at least 70 mm from the
ground. Adjust the runner width of the Rothewald Rear Wheel Removal Aid to fi t the
width of the tyre being worked on. Now slide the Rothewald Rear Wheel Removal Aid
under the wheel and adjust the feet so that it is just touching the tyre and does not
wobble. Then consult a workshop manual to remove the rear wheel.
When fi tting the wheel, you can use the pre-set rear wheel removal aid to support
the wheel so that it is at swinging height with the wheel bearings. This allows
the axle to be easily inserted into the wheel bearings and the required existing
distances between the wheel and the swing arm to be set effortlessly.

6 | Storage and care

Do not store the Rothewald Rear Wheel Removal Aid in rooms with high humidity.
