NOTE
If the drain line is restricted, or the drain pump malfunc-

Troubleshooting
If the ice machine is not working check the following:
•
Make sure there is power at the receptacle.
•
Make sure the ice machine is turned on.
•
Make sure the water supply to the unit is on.
•
Make sure the ice bin is not full.
•
Is the drain restricted or the drain pump malfunctioning.
Then check the drain pump.
If the pump does not run, check the following:
•
Make sure the pump is plugged in and there is power
to the receptacle.
•
Check the ice bin drain (see Figure 14) and the drain
pump inlet screen (see Figure 15) for debris and clean
as needed.
•
Make sure the vent tube is free of kinks and sharp
bends or restrictions.
•
Make sure there is enough water to activate the drain
pump. It will take at least one quart of water to activate
the drain pump.
The pump runs, but no water is pumped out:
•
Check that the vent tube is clear and free of restric-
tions.
•
Check the discharge line for restrictions.
•
Make sure the discharge line has not exceeded the
maximum lift of 8 feet and the tubing length does not
exceed 20 feet.
The pump runs, then quickly turns off repeatedly:
•
Check to make sure the drain pump is level.
•
Check that the vent tube is clear and free from restric-
tions.
