Every unit operating with the serial interface must have its own address
Unit address
(00...99). This is used by the PC software for unit identification.
Selection of the interface to be used (RS232 or RS485). Simultaneous

operation is not possible.
Transmission (="Baud rate) speed must correspond with that set on the PC

software.
Parity
These settings must correspond with that set on the PC software.
Stop bits

Fixed - cannot be changed.
• Memory/mode: Information to memory availability and selection of
"Normal/simulation mode
"Normal operation": The unit operates using the real connected signals.
"Simulation": The unit operates using simulated signals. The actual unit
settings are used in this function. Measured value plot and storage any
actually connected analogue inputs is switched off when this mode is active.
Operating mode
The simulated values are stored instead.
Hint: If the previously recorded "real" signals are required please copy these
to diskette (see chapter "Handling in operation - read out functions -
Diskette").
• Details for the interface,
operation with simulated
inputs (using the preset
parameters) and information
to the memory time available
using the preset feed rate.
• RS 232/RS 485 (option "Digital I/O"):
Setting up only required if the
interfaces of the unit are to be used
(setting up by PC, serial data read out,
modem operation etc.).
