4.4.2) Machine equipped with "MND1" spindle
– Immediately release the push-button (07).
– Operate the emergency lever (09) which immediately releases the auger from the machine.
Lift and remove the machine from the auger.
5. REPLACING THE SPINDLE
For augers having a Ø 16 mm shank, the "MND 1" spindle must be used, which is interchangeable
with the standard "MND" spindle.
Replace the spindle as follows:
5.1) Removing the "MND" spindle
– Remove the detachable guard (19) (see § 4.1.2).
– Remove the auger (see § 4.1.1).
– Turn the fixed guard (21), and remove from the spindle, exposing the spindle shaft (12).
– By means of the 4 mm allen key supplied with the machine, remove grubscrew (15).
– Remove circlip (13) and locating pin (14).
– Slide the spindle from the shaft (10).
5.2) Fitting the "MND 1" spindle
– Slide the "MND 1" spindle onto the shaft (12). Ensure that the spindle guide (16) is correctly
positioned.
– Align the hole on the shaft (10) with the corresponding holes on the spindle (17).
– Insert the locating pin (14) and fit the circlip (13).
– Fit and tighten the grubscrew (15).
– Fit the fixed guard (21).
– Insert and secure the auger (Ø 16 mm shank); (see § 5.3).
– Fit the detachable guard (19) (see § 4.1.2).
5.3) Fitting and removing the auger on the "MND 1" spindle
– Turn the emergency lever (09), align
the two grooves on the auger with
the red reference line on the end of
the spindle and fully insert the auger.
– Release the emergency lever (09).
– To remove the auger, turn the emer-
gency lever (09) and extract the auger
from the spindle.
