Glueing the paddle

Once the position of the handle has been chosen the handle can be glued using a water resistant glue
type "Quick Epoxy" or similar.

First time in the water

Walk out into the water holding the SUP by the
handle, until you are about mid-thigh deep. Climb
onto the SUP in a kneeling position (easier than
standing), holding the paddle in one hand (this
will stop you for bending down to pick it up).
Position your feet on either side of the handle
with the distance that you are most comfortable
with and slightly bend your legs for balance. To
paddle, place one hand on top of the paddle and
the other on the top thirds of the paddle.

Maintenance

After each use, please rinse your material with
fresh water and store away from sun light and
possible heat sources.
When traveling on hot days or with high pressure
difference (mountain pass) make sure that the de-
compression screw is open.

If the right hand is on top then then the paddle
stroke should be on the left side and if the left
hand is on top of the paddle then the stroke will
be on the right side. Be sure to use the paddle
the right way; with the tilted side of the blade
facing forward. To be as efficient as possible,
paddle with the blade close to the SUP and reach
far forward on every stroke. Once the paddle
reaches your ankles, pull the paddle out of the
water and reach as far forward as possible for
your next stroke.
As a general rule keep the vent open when the
board is not in the water.
Avoid storing your SUP in a car with the windows
closed. In these conditions the temperature can
go up to 70°C and this could result in damage to
your SUP.
