Operating instructions
Dual Motion Detector
Item no. 751560
Intended use
The motion detector's integrated PIR sensor (a special dual pyro-sensor element) responds
to temperature changes within the detection range, e.g. when a person enters the detection
range. Thus, the motion detector is used for monitoring entrances, staircases etc.
The motion detector's design makes it especially suitable for joint use with alarm systems. The
motion detector is powered by direct current of 12 V/DC. The motion detector's output can be
used, for example for controlling the alarm input of a suitable alarm system.
The motion detector is only intended for use in dry, closed interiors, it must not get damp or wet.
Always observe the safety instructions included in these operating instructions. Please read the
operating instructions carefully and keep them.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves
the risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modified or
converted!
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of

Explanation of Symbols, Inscriptions
The lightning symbol inside a triangle is a warning to inform you of potential risks of
personal injury, such as electrical shock.
T his symbol indicates specific risks associated with handling, function and use.
The "arrow" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety Instructions
Damage due to not following these operating instructions will void the warran-
ty! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases,
the warranty will be null and void!
• U nauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not allowed for
safety and approval reasons.
• The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children!
• The product may be installed and used only in dry indoor spaces; it must not get
damp or wet!
• If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must be
turned off and precautions must be taken to ensure that it is not used unintention-
ally. After this, arrange for an expert to check the product.
Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- t he product does not work at all or works poorly (where there is flickering light,
leaking smoke or a smell of burning, audible crackling noises, or discolouration
of the product or to adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• Do not use the product in rooms with adverse environmental conditions, where
combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of
explosion!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, as it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical department or another specialist.
Function of the motion detector
The motion detector integrated in the radio motion detector responds to temperature changes
within the detection range, e.g. if a person or an animal with a temperature different from the
background enters the detection area.
The range for detecting motion is determined by several factors:
• The motion detector's mounting height
• The temperature difference between the moving object and the background (ambient)
• The size of the object
• The distance of the object from the motion detector
• The direction and speed of movement
• Ambient temperature
To ensure optimal motion detection, the motion detector must be placed so that the object to
be detected does not approach the motion detector directly but passes the detection area from
left to right or vice versa.
The detection range can be restricted by covering the curved diffusion panel of the motion
detector with an opaque cover such as a strip of black insulating tape.
After switching on the operating voltage, it takes about 2 seconds until the PIR sensor in the
motion detector has adjusted itself to the background temperature and is able to recognise
changes in temperature within the detection area.
Preparations for installation
Open the housing by removing the individual
screw at the bottom with a cross-head screw-
driver.
Then, remove the front.
