Step 3: as shown in figure 3, press the central adjuster
while pulling the harness strap to release the shoulder
straps.
Step 4: as shown in figure 4, press the red button to un-
fasten the harness buckle.
Step 5: as shown in figure 5, pull both shoulder straps
towards the sides of the seat.
Step 6: as shown in figure 6, position the child in the seat
making sure that the lap belt holds the child's pelvis se-
curely. Check the shoulder height, the shoulder straps
should go slightly above the child's shoulders. If they are
too far above or below the child's shoulders, this may
reduce the safety of the child safety seat.
Step 7: as shown in figure 7, pull the harness adjustment
strap outwards to hold the child securely, making sure
it is not too tight. Check that you can fit your hand be-
tween the harness strap and the child's chest. Make sure
that the child is comfortable and the straps are not too
tight, and check that the lap belt holds the child's pelvis
snugly in position.
Steps 7.1-7.2-7.3: Using the harness buckle: bring the two
clips of the buckle together and connect them before
inserting them into the harness buckle. Make sure you
66
hear them click into place. Pull the clips of the buckle to
check that they are correctly inserted. To unfasten them,
press the red button.
Step 8: as shown in figure 8, children under 10 kg should
use level 1 and children weighing 10 kg or over, should
use level 2. Before adjusting it, loosen the 5-point safety
harness and unfasten the buckle. Then, twist the strap to
pass it through the vertical slot and make sure that the
buckle is securely held in place.
Step 9: as shown in figure 9, pull the headrest adjustment
handle upwards to set the headrest to the correct posi-
tion for the height of the child.
Attention: after settling the child in the seat, set the
headrest to the correct position. For installation in the for-
ward facing position for group 1, the shoulder pads should
be slightly above the child's shoulders. The best distance
between the bottom of the headrest and the child's
shoulders is a gap of about one or two fingerbreadths.
Step 10: as shown in figure 10, turn the child safety seat
to the forward facing position (see the rotation function
section on page 8).
Step 11: as shown in figure 11, tighten the anti-rotation
strap until the adjuster turns green. Jiggle the safety seat
to check that the anti-rotation strap is tightened correctly.
