4. Adjustment magnifier lens
Instructions for use
• Do not use the tool to loosen nuts or bolts. This will damage the ratchet mechanism.
• Take the torque wrench in one hand, so that the window with major-scale is visible.
• Pull the handle backwards in order to unlock the blocking. A marking will be visible between
the handle and the adjustment magnifier.(fig.2)
Adjust the required torque-setting by turning the handle.
-
Example: 76 Nm.
-
Turn the handle until the red indicator-line in the window covers the 70 Nm-marking of the
-
major scale and the magnifier lens shows "0" at the same
Turn the handle clockwise, until the "6" is shown in the magnifier lens (fig.4) (1 marking
-
corresponds to 1 Nm)
The wrench is now set at 76 Nm torque
Push the handle in direction of the major scale, so that the marking between the magnifier
lens and the handle is covered by the same. This will prevent the torque wrench is re-set
during work..
• Install the proper socket or attachment to the 1/2"-square-drive of the torque-wrench.
• Apply the tool to the nut or bolt and drive the nut or bolt by turning the wrench, until you feel
and/or hear the wrench click.
NOTE: Do not twist the tool beyond the preset torque, as this will apply an incorrect
torque and may damage your work piece
• When the torque wrench is not in use, keep torque-adjustment at its lowest position by
turning the handle anti-clockwise.
• Always store the torque-wrench in its blow-case at a dry place.
• Apply the tool at lower torque levels several times when you first use it, or when using it after
long periods of storage to allow the lubricant to cover the parts in the tool.
