FABA™ system components
1. Entries and exits
These enable you to leave the climbing
protection system at the stipulated po-
sitions.
2. Permanent catches
These prevent you from leaving the clim-
bing protection system at the end of the
climbing protection way and at the gates;
you must never remove them.
3. Detachable catches
These prevent you from accidentally
leaving the climbing protection system. It
is possible to deliberately detach yourself
from the system after opening the catch,
but this is only permitted if you have
previously taken other safety precautions
against falling.
4. Resting platform
You can pass by the resting platform
when the access fl ap is folded up. You can
fold the access fl ap down and use it as a
resting platform if you want (maximum
load: 150 kg). If the resting platform is
used as a location from which other work
will be carried out, then the user must also
safeguard himself against falling off of
the building using an additional safety
device that has nothing to do with the fall
prevention device.
Maintenance
The FABA™ fall protection device is
virtually maintenance-free. The fall
prevention device should be cleaned, if
necessary, with a dry or moistened cloth
after being used and left to dry before
being put away. Do not leave it out to dry
in the sun or in the vicinity of an open
fi re or not anywhere where it might be
affected by heat.
Storage
The FABA™ fall prevention device must
be stored at temperatures between -30 °C
and +60 °C when it is dry and protected
against atmospheric conditions and ag-
gressive materials.
