2. Start the product by holding the power
switch (1) pressed and then pressing the
power switch (2).

3. When the product has started, release the
power switch lock and continue pressing
the power switch.

4. Stop the product by releasing the power
switch.

CHANGE POSITION OF THE EDGE
GUIDE
1. Pull edge guide knob sideway to unlock
from the guard tab.Lift the knob up until
the lower square notch in the level lines
up with the tab on the guard.

2. In this position the edge guide is lifted
up,so the tool can easily cut along the
edges of flower and shrubbery beds,and
around trees in preparation for trenching
or sod removal.

3. To return edge guide to lower position,pull
level sideways and push down until guard
tab fits in upper lever hole.
EDGE TRIMMING
NOTE:
Make sure that the work area is free from
stones, debris, wire, string and other foreign
objects.
1. Align the blade in line with the edge to be
trimmed. The arrows on the blade guard
show where the trimming is done.

2. Lower the handle so that the blade is not
touching the ground when starting the
product.

3. Start the product and wait until the blade
has reached maximum speed.

4. Slowly lift the handle so that the blade is
lowered to the edge to be trimmed.

5. Go slowly forward with the blade lightly
pressed against the edge to be trimmed.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
Switch off the product and pull out the plug
before changing the blade, cleaning and
other maintenance.

CHANGING THE BLADE

1. Put the product on its side. Fit the large
supplied spanner on the outer blade
flange and the small spanner on the nut.
Turn the small spanner clockwise to undo
the nut. Remove the nut, the outer flange
and the blade.

NOTE:
Make sure that the nut and the outer flange
are clean and free from grass and dirt before
fitting.
2. Put the new blade on the inner flange
and then fit the outer flange. Make sure
to fit the parts correctly and in the right
direction of rotation.
