SAW DUST EXTRACTION
The swivel dust elbow on top of the upper
guard may be rotated to keep dust out of
your line of sight. It is designed to pop out
in case of an impact and, thereby, decrease
the chance of breaking. In the event that the

NOTICE: The chainsaw is not filled with chain
oil at the time of purchase. It is essential to fill
the tank with chain oil before use. Operating
the chainsaw chain when the chain oil is not
visible when the saw is tilted up at the front
to check the chain oil will result in damage to
the chainsaw. Chain life and cutting capacity
depend on optimum lubrication. The saw
chain is automatically lubricated with chain oil
during operation.
1. Disconnect the power cord from the power
supply.
2. Clean the oil tank cap (Fig. 11) and the
area around it to ensure that no dirt falls
into the oil tank.
3. Rotate the oil tank cap counterclockwise
to remove it. The filter inside the neck
is designed to reduce contamination
and should not be removed except for
occasional cleaning.
4. Use chain oil for best results. It is specially
designed to provide low friction and faster
cuts.
5. Carefully pour the chain oil into the tank.
The filter in the opening allows the chain oil
to seep slowly into the tank; pour the chain
oil slowly and be careful not to let the chain
oil spill from the opening. Fill to the top of
tank, just below the threads of the tank
mouth. Wipe off any excess chain oil.
6. Replace the cap. Tilt the front of the saw
up to view the chain oil level through the
translucent oil tank.

any fire or flame near the
dust nozzle becomes dislodged, inspect for
damage and, if none is found, install it again
into the dust port.
Saw dust can clog the dust port and nozzle.
Unplug the saw and then inspect and clean
out any saw dust.

Chain-Oil-Tank Cap
NOTICE: Never use oil or other lubricants not
specifically designed for use on the guide bar
and saw chain. This can lead to a clogged oil
system, which may cause premature wear of
the guide bar and saw chain.
Check the chain-oil level before use and
frequently during use. Tilt the front of the
saw up and view the chain-oil level through
the translucent tank. Fill the oil tank when the
chain-oil level appears low.
It is normal for chain oil to seep from the saw
when it is not in use. To prevent seepage,
empty the oil tank after each use, and then
run the saw for one minute. When storing the
tool for a long period of time, be sure the chain
is lightly lubricated; this will prevent rust on the
saw chain and drive sprocket.
