4.2 Installation under Windows 2000 and XP
1. Start up your laptop PC and insert the IEEE 1394 PC card into the CardBus
PCMCIA slot. Connect the IEEE 1394 cable to t h e PC card. Windows will
automatically detect the card and install the IEEE 1394 PC card by itself.
2. When the installation is completed, reboot your laptop PC to activate the driver.
3. Now the IEEE 1394 PC Card is ready to connect to an external IEEE 1394
device.
4. You can check if the installation is OK by going to 'My computer' – 'Settings' -
'Control Panel' - 'System' – 'Hardware' - 'Device Manager'. For XP go to: 'My
computer' – 'Control Panel' - 'System' – 'Hardware' - 'Device Manager'. If you
see the "IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers / Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant
IEEE 1394 PC Host Controller" here, the card is installed succesfully.
4.3 Installation under Windows ME
1. Start up your laptop PC and insert the 1394 PC card into the CardBus PCMCIA
slot. Connect the IEEE 1394 cable to the PC card. Windows will automatically
detect the card and install the IEEE 1394 PC card by itself.
