3. PROGRAMMING THE LRF-04
Once the LRF-04 has been correctly installed, it is ready for programming. Programme the
LRF-04 from the keyboard as follows:
•
Remove the seal from the program key.
•
Press the program key. A message will appear on the LCD screen requesting the 4-digit
password. The initial (ex-factory) password is blank. Access by pressing ENTER (C).
Once the password has been confirmed, choose the Keyboard option from the menu.
You will then accede to the programming menu.
•
To move around the programming menu use the arrow keys (A) and (B). To select an
option, press ENTER (C). To exit from any option, press the ESCAPE (E) key. During the
programming phase, the LRF-04 attenuates 60 dB.
The programming menu has the following options:
▪ Date – Time: This allows you to change the date and time that govern the LRF-04. You
may also automatically change to standard summer time.
▪ Sessions schedule: This option allows you to introduce the establishment's opening
schedule for each day of the week. The schedule must comply with the following
prerequisites:
−
The beginning of the interval must belong to the day of the week being
programmed.
−
The interval must be less than 24 h.
−
The interval may end on the following day to the one being programmed.
−
The schedules corresponding to adjacent days may not overlap.
NOTE: It is important to remember that the LRF-04 attenuates 60 dB outside the
session schedules. If you do not want this to happen, each day must be programmed
with 24-hour sessions.
▪ Regulations: This option allows you to introduce information relating to the regulations
governing the establishment into the LRF-04.
NOTE: All this information is contained in the set of regulations applicable to each
establishment. The regulations define times for daytime and night time evaluation as well
as the maximum level permissible for the different kinds of establishments in each time
zone.
▪ Emission control mode: The LRF-04 acts according to the sound level measured in the
establishment. The control algorithm the LRF-04 uses is based on the equivalent sound
level acoustic parameter (Leq). When programming the control mode, the control time
must be chosen, which corresponds to the integration time used in the calculation of the
Leq parameter (from 125 ms to 10 s). If a long (10 s) control time is chosen, the control
algorithm will ensure a progressive variation in the control of the music, without
excessively sudden changes in its level and without its being affected by brusque
variations in the music. On the other hand, if we choose a short (125 ms) control time,
the LRF-04 will act much faster, although more appreciable variations in the music level
will be produced. We recommend that long control times be used for normal situations
and short control times in establishments with low sound insulation or when stipulated by
the regulations.
▪ Reception control mode: The LRF-04 may also act according to the calculated sound
level in the receiving establishment (dwelling next door). This option allows you to
activate the control mode in the receiving establishment by means of the previous
predictive algorithm (level equivalent to 125 ms at 10 s), or else to deactivate the mode.
If a joint emission and reception control mode is chosen, the LRF-04 will apply the more
restrictive condition of the two at each moment.
