11. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION STANDARS
The electrical connections generally used are:
- Type AD for direct start.
- Type AST for star-delta starting.
The electrical connections, except in very special cases, must be firmly fixed on a support so that
they can be reached by a person and, in any case, at least 50 cm from the loose.
a) Check that the electrical components are compatible with the mains voltage.
b) Connect the power supply line to the appropriate terminals.
c) Connect the poles of the electric pump cable to the appropriate terminals
d) Make a proper connection to the installation ground
It is not recommended to use the electric pump or the well piping as grounding
12. FIRST SETTING
Turn on the power using the main switch.
a) Close the stop valve almost completely at the outlet
of the well
b) Press the reconnection button "A" located on the
electrical panel
c) Move potentiometer "B" to the maximum position
d) Start the electric pump by pressing the "START"
button (red) or by moving the appropriate switch to the
"MANUAL" or "AUTOMATIC" position.
e) Slowly open the main valve until the required perfor-
mance is obtained.
IF THE PUMP DOES NOT GIVE THE REQUIRED PER-
FORMANCE, REVERSE THE DIRECTION OF ROTATION,
changing two poles of the power supply cable at the
terminals
f) Let the pump run for approximately one hour, chec-
king its consumption
g) Set the thermal protection regulator at a point around
10-15% above consumption of the pump.
In the event that the relay cuts out, it is necessary to
verify the causes (low voltage, phase failure, etc.) that
produce it.
