RM-010 Remote control for PROMAX-10 / 8+ / 8
Once the PC and the PROMAX-10/8+/8 are connected through the CC-208 cable,
turn on both equipments and then run the RM-010 software.
If a Communication error message appears:
1.- Verify the PROMAX-10/8+/8 is on.
2.- Check the connection between the PROMAX-10/8+/8 and the PC.
3.- Verify the selected communication port. To do this select the Config menu in
the main bar and click on Communication Port (COM 2 by default).
If your PROMAX-10/8+/8 has a software version previous (2.30 PROMAX-10,
1.12 PROMAX-8+ or 1.41 PROMAX-8) it will be necessary to upgrade it to
the new version before carrying out any other operation. Previous control
softwares may not be 100% compatible with RM-010. The updating process
lasts for 30 minutes approximately. Before starting the upgrade it is important
to verify that the PROMAX-10/8+/8 battery is fully charged and the PROMAX-
10/8+/8 is not in auto-power off mode, in order it does not turn off during the
updating process. Never disconnect the Cable TV analyser from the serial
port before exit completely the RM-010 program.
