Problem
The DVD regional
codes can no longer be
changed.
The sound cannot be
heard or the volume is
very low.
The TouchPad doesn't
work.
The Wireless LAN/
Bluetooth modules
cannot be detected.
The PC Camera module
cannot be detected.
34 - Troubleshooting
The code has been changed the maximum 5 times. DVD region detection is device dependent,
not OS-dependent. You can select your module's region code 5 times. The fifth selection is
permanent. This cannot be altered even if you change your operating system or you use the
module in another computer.
The volume might be set too low. Check the volume control in the Volume Control Panel in the
Windows taskbar, or use the key combination Fn + F5 and F6 (see
page 20) to adjust.
The Touchpad has been disabled. Press the Touchpad toggle (Fn + F1) key combination (make
sure you have installed the Touchpad driver.
The modules are off. Check the LED indicator
off (see "LED Indicators" on page
