20. POWER switch
The switch to turn the power supply on and off. Ensure that this switch is set at
OFF when the amplifier is not in use.
21. FOOT SW 1, 2 jacks
The plugs at the end of the included foot switch cable are numbered 1 and 2.
Connect the plug marked 1 to the rear panel FOOT SWITCH 1 jack, and the
plug marked 2 to the FOOT SWITCH 2 jack. You can use the foot switch to turn
the Boost switch on/off, to switch channels, and to switch Mid Shift and Reverb
on/off.
Caution: When using the foot switch, you must connect both plugs. If the foot
switch is connected, the corresponding switches of the front panel will not func-
tion.
22. SPEAKER OUTPUT jack
This is a 1/4" speaker output jack. An internal speaker (8Ω) is connected to the
TB100R. The rated output of the TB100R is as follows, depending on the imped-
ance of the connected speakers.
8Ω connection: 100 Wrms, 4Ω connection: 120 Wrms
If you want to add an expansion speaker cabinet, refer to "Setup" section "1.
Connecting a speaker cabinet" in this manual.
23. SERIAL NO.
This indicates a serial number of this product.
24. Cooling vent
Since the power amp generates heat, do not block this cooling vent.
25. FUSE holder
This device is fused for safety, and a spare fuse is provided in the holder. The
fuse may burn out due to external shock or simply from age. However it is pos-
sible that a burned-out fuse indicates a serious internal malfunction, so please
consult your dealer before replacing the fuse.
26. AC inlet
This socket is for the AC cable (included). DO NOT use any input voltage other
than indicated on the panel.
Troubleshooting
1. The power supply cannot be switched on.
• Check that the power cable has been connected correctly.
• Try plugging it into a different socket and see if the same problem occurs.
2. The power supply can be switched on, but no sound is
heard.
• Check that the guitar has been connected correctly.
• Remove any external components connected to the effects loop and be-
tween the guitar and the amplifier and check to see if any sound is heard.
• Use a different shielded cable and check to see if any sound is heard.

• Check to see if the volume on the guitar is set to "0".
• Use a different guitar and see if any sound is heard.
• Check to see if the volume on the amplifier is set to "0".
• Check to see if the headphones are connected.
3. Noise is heard.
• Check to see if anything in the immediate vicinity is resonating or banging
against the amplifier to produce the noise.·
• Check to see if the plug cover on the shielded cable is loose.
• Use another guitar, effects or other external components, and cable to see if
the same noise is produced.
4. BOOST switch, channel switch, or MID SHIFT switch
does not function.
• These panel switches are disabled if a footswitch or cable is connected to the
corresponding footswitch jack.
5. The foot switch does not control the various switches.
• Check that the foot switch jack is connected correctly.
6. No sound is produced in the headphones
• Check that the headphones are connected correctly.
• Connect another set of headphones and see if sound is produced.
7. Something is wrong with the sound from the speakers
• Is the impedance of the speaker system matched correctly?
• See whether the problem is solved by using a different guitar, effect (or other
external device), guitar cable, or speaker cable.
8. Smoke appears, or you notice a burning smell
• An internal malfunction may have occurred. Immediately stop using the amp,
and take it to your dealer for servicing.
9. Parts became cracked or broken
•
Take the amp to your dealer for service. Continuing to use the amp even after
an input jack, control pot, or speaker unit is damaged may cause other un-
damaged components to be affected.
In case of defects
This product has passed exhaustive inspections before being shipped from the
factory. Ensure that the above procedures are carried out when a problem is
thought to exist. Contact your dealer in the unlikely event that an abnormality
occurs during use. Also, ensure that the symptoms of the problem are explained
in detail when requesting repair in order to facilitate swift handling.
