2. Short description
Wireless module for bidirectional communication
2400 MHz wireless transceiver with RS-232/RS-485 interface, can be extended

wireless networks (point-to-point, star-shape, mesh) with up to 250 devices.

1.1 Installation notes
This device complies with R&TTE device class 1, with the following restrictions on
use according to ERC recommendation 70-03:
Norway The device must not be operated within 20 km of the Ny Ålesund
town center.
Turkey The device may only be operated with Satel antennas in
accordance with the "Short Range Radio Devices (SRD)
Regulations" Gazette No. 26464 dated March 16, 2007.
Additional country registrations can be found at www.satel.com.
• Please observe that the maximum permissible transmission power of the device
can be exceeded in combination with antennas.
• Operation of the wireless system is only permitted if accessories available from
Satel are used. The use of any other components can lead to withdrawal of the
operating license.

• Satel hereby declares that this wireless system complies with the basic
requirements and other relevant regulations specified in Directive 1999/5/EC.
3.1 Plug-in screw terminal blocks ( - )
• Installation, operation, and maintenance may only be carried out by qualified
electricians. Follow the installation instructions as described. 2
• When installing and operating the device, the applicable regulations and safety
directives (including national safety directives), as well as general technical 3
regulations, must be observed. The technical data is provided in this package

3.3 Installation
Die Belegung der Anschlussklemmen zeigt das Blockschaltbild. ()
Das Gerät ist auf alle 35-mm-Tragschienen nach EN 60715 aufrastbar.
Bei Einsatz des Tragschienen-Busverbinders legen Sie diesen zuerst in die
Tragschiene ein. ()
Der Tragschienen-Busverbinder brückt die Versorgungsspannung und unterstützt
die Kommunikation mit bis zu 32 unterschiedlichen I/O-Erweiterungsmodulen.
Montieren Sie I/O-Erweiterungsmodule nur rechts vom Funkmodul!
Montieren Sie die Antenne außerhalb des Schaltschrankes! Beachten Sie
dazu die Montageanleitung der verwendeten Antenne. In Kombination mit
Antennen kann die maximal zulässige Sendeleistung des Gerätes
überschritten werden. Nutzen Sie die Möglichkeit der
Sendeleistungseinstellung über die Software.
