3.2 Product description
● Internal shutter for extraction or ventilation.
● Nominal size 100 mm (AE 10) or 150 mm
(AE 16).
● Opening and closing angle of lamella can
be set.
● Shutter opens or closes with delay.
● On/Off using commercial on/off-switches,
timers or follow-up relays.
● Operating indicator light [11] lights up when
unit is switched on.

6. Essential safety instructions
6.1 General safety instructions
● Read the safety instructions through
carefully before commissioning.
● Keep the instructions.
● The device must not be used as a toy.
● Installation is only permitted when carried
out by trained specialists.
● Electrical connections and repairs only
permitted when carried out by trained
specialists.
● Only connect device to permanently wired
electrical installations with NYM-O or
NYM-J, 3 x 1.5 mm² cables. Fixture for
disconnecting from mains, with at least
3 mm contact opening needed per pole.
● The fan unit may only be operated using
the voltage and frequency shown on the
rating plate.

● Do not make any modifications to the fan
unit.
● Only operate the fan unit when it is
completely installed.
6.2 Intended use
● Shutter for extraction or ventilation.
● For surface installation indoors.
● Any installation position.
6.3 Predictable misuses
Maico is not liable for damages caused by
use contrary to the intended purpose.
Under no circumstances should the unit
be used:
● in humid areas.
● close to flammable materials, liquids or
gases.
● for the conveying of chemicals, aggressive
gases or vapours.
● in potentially explosive atmospheres.
