Information for use
sera reptil terra biotop 60
Please read these instructions carefully and keep for future use.
Thank you for purchasing the sera reptil terra biotop 60 terrar-
ium.
The sera reptil terra biotop 60 is a modern glass terrarium for
keeping smaller reptiles, amphibians or invertebrates (e.g.
Lawson's Dragons, chameleons, frogs).
The large wing doors allow for good access, therefore even
large decoration materials can be put in without any problems.
The glass doors can be opened independently from each other
and removed entirely. The smooth surfaces can be hygienically
and easily cleaned.
There are two foldable mesh covers made of fine mesh wire
gauze in the upper frame. This allows for generous ventilation.
At the same time, the essential UV irradiation of lamps installed
on top of the terrarium can pass unobstructedly. The removable
mesh covers can be replaced with the terrarium light hood sera
reptil terra top for irradiating light requiring animals sufficient-
ly.
The upper terrarium frame contains each three openings on the
right and the left back side that serve as cable or hose ducts.
This allows for an easy installation of electrical devices in the
terrarium. Cable ducts not required can be closed with the pro-
vided bar.
The elevated bottom is another advantage that allows installing
a heat mat underneath the terrarium without any problems and
unobtrusively. The terrarium stands firmly on the mat and will
not shake. The reinforced black polycarbonate plastic frame
and 4 mm thick glass provide edge protection and stability.
The special safety lock in combination with the combination
lock effectively prevents the inhabitants escaping.
Application and application range
The generous construction of the sera reptil terra biotop 60 al-
lows you keeping both bottom dwelling as well as climbing am-
phibians, reptiles and insects. The high edge in the bottom area
with a filling height of 10 cm (4 in.) allows creating an aquater-
rarium or a thick bottom ground layer for digging species.
You can set up biotopes according to nature in the sera terrar-
ium, e.g. desert and rainforest terrariums. You will find detailed
information about this in the sera guide "Biotope Terrariums".

Assembly instruction and operation
Please refer to the corresponding information for use for oper-
ating and handling the components included with the kit.
Location:
Place the sera reptil terra biotop 60 directly on the firm mat on
a flat stable area. A 3 mm insulation mat is integrated in the bot-
tom frame of the terrariums. If you wish to add another isolating
layer, then cut it in a way [approx. 57 cm x 42 cm (22.4 in. x
16.5 in.)], that it fits under the bottom frame.
If you wish to place a heat mat underneath the terrarium, the in-
sulation mat can be removed from the frame, and a heat mat
can be attached underneath the bottom pane instead.
Do not place the terrarium in a place with draft air and avoid di-
rect daily sun irradiation for several hours.
Setting up the sera reptil terra biotop 60 (fig. 3):
Setup can be done according to your personal desires. You will
find valuable advice for designing biotopes according to natural
requirements with the required lighting in the sera guide
"Biotope Terrariums" and on www.sera.de
If you wish to lay a heating cable within the bottom ground, you
should start with installing the heating cable (3.1). Please note
that the bottom of the terrarium is made of glass and can only
bear a limited weight. Do not place any hard, sharp-edged or
pointed items directly onto the glass bottom. The bottom
should first be covered with the included sera reptil coco soil
(3.2).
