6. MAINTENANCE
For maintenance, only use the spare parts. The manu-
facturer will not be held responsible for any accident
occurring following a repair done other than by its after-
sales service or approved repairers
6.1.
Replacing the battery
For your own safety, never open the adapter until you
have disconnected from all sources of electricity.
n Remove the two screws on the back of the instrument
and then remove the bottom half of the housing.
n Replace the dead battery with a new 9 V battery (6F22 or
6LF22 type) and slide the battery correctly into its plastic
protective cover.
n Reassemble the bottom half of the housing and tighten
the two screws on the back of the housing.
6.2.
Storage
If the adapter is not used for a period of more than 60 days,
remove the battery and store it separately.
6.3.
Cleaning
The instrument must be disconnected from all sources
of electricity.
To clean the housing, use a cloth dampened with soapy water.
Wipe off with a damp cloth. Then dry rapidly with a cloth or
blown air.
6.4.
Calibration
It is essential that all measuring instruments are regulary
calibrated.
For checking and calibration of your instrument, please con-
tact our accredited laboratories (list on request) or the
CHAUVIN ARNOUX subsidiary or Agent in your country.
6.5.
Maintenance
Repairs under and out of guarantee : please return the product
to your distributor.
