6. Getting Started and Operation (Fig. 2)
First switch off all devices that you wish to connect to
the transmitter/receiver.
6.1 Starting up the transmitter
• Use an HDMI cable (not included) to connect the
transmitter's HDMI input (4) to the HDMI output of
a playback device (e.g. SAT receiver, Blu-ray player,
game console).
• Connect the HDMI output (3) to a television or
monitor.
• Connect the 2.5 mm jack plug of the included IR
emitter to the "IR OUT" socket (2). Place the IR
emitter in a location where it is visible and within
the range of your remote control. The rounded
end should point in the direction of your playback
device (e.g. SAT receiver). Connect one of the
included power supply units to the transmitter's
micro-USB port (1). Connect the power supply unit
to a mains socket. The power LED (6) lights up.

6.2 Starting up the receiver
• Use an HDMI cable (not included) to connect the
receiver's HDMI output (9) to a free HDMI input on
your television or monitor.
• Connect the 3.5 mm jack plug of the included
IR receiver to the "IR IN" socket (8). Place the IR
receiver in a location where it is visible and within
the range of your remote control. The side labelled
"IR" should face towards you.
• Connect the second included power supply unit
to the receiver's micro-USB port (7). Connect the
power supply to a mains socket. The power LED
(11) lights up.
Note
First test that the position is correct before
adhering the IR receiver/emitter in place.
6.3 Operation
• Switch your television on. Choose the HDMI input
to which the transmitter is connected.
• Now switch on the playback device (e.g. SAT
receiver, Blu-ray player).
• The playback device's start screen will appear on
the television after several seconds.
• Point the playback device's IR remote control at
the IR emitter.
Note
The IR signals are transmitted to the receiver via
radio waves, which means you can still use the IR
remote control of the playback device (e.g. SAT
receiver) even if the playback device is not within
range of the IR remote control.
6.4 Pairing
The transmitter and receiver must be connected with
a code in order to establish the radio connection.
• Connect the receiver and transmitter to the mains
power. The red power LEDs must light up.
