Table A - Setting the wind threshold
(note 1)
(note 3)
(note 2)
Note 1 – Position of the "Threshold" trimmer ( 4 = value set in the factory).
Note 2 – Threshold value with the awning open and still.
Note 3 – Threshold value during movement of the awning.
• Checking that the sensor has been memorized (fig. 9)
■ 01. Shut off electrical power to the motor; wait for 2 seconds and restore power. ■
02. Send a command to the system and, while it is executing, press sensor button "P".
Now, check that the motor immediately stops (= sensor memorized).

6 - CALIBRATING THE SENSOR

Once the sensor have been memorized, must be calibrated as follows.
6.1 - Regulating the sensibility to the wind
The sensor is provided with a calibration which is pre-set in the factory (see the value in
Table A). Nevertheless, after installation and implementation, it is absolutely necessary
to regulate the sensibility of the awning to the wind, based on local wind conditions.
Very important! – During this operation, there must be absolutely NO wind. You
can then regulate the sensibility in the following way.
■ 01. Command the awning to be fully opened. After the awning has stopped moving,
wait 40 seconds before moving on to the next step! ■ 02. Before modifying the fac-
tory base settings, you need to check whether these settings may be OK as they are.
Then, shake the front bar of the awning manually to make it vibrate strongly (the force
of the action must be comparable to that produced by gusts of wind). ■ 03. Based on
the result (too sensitive/not sensitive enough), you must modify the factory base set-
tings on the threshold selector (see fig. 7 and Table A). ■ 04. Lastly, repeat the test
conducted in point 2.
■ If necessary, repeat the procedure several times until you find the best setting. ■ Eve-
ry new setting must be verified again, as described in point 2. ■ After every forced clos-
ing of the awning, due to a "wind alarm", you can only command the awning to open
fully again after a timeout of about 5 minutes. Also in this case, after the awning has
stopped moving, you need to wait 40 seconds before moving on to the next step!
