4. Putting the blood pressure monitor into operation.
A) Inserting the batteries
After you have unpacked your device, first insert the batteries. The
battery compartment is located on the underside of the device (see
illustration).
a)Remove cover as illustrated.
b) Insert batteries (4 x size AA 1,5V), observing the indicated polarity.
c)If the battery warning appears in the display, the batteries are low
and must be replaced by new ones.
d) Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (ni-cad,
ni-mh, etc) batteries.
Attention!
•
After the battery warning appears, the device is blocked until the
batteries have been replaced.
•
Please use "AA" Long-Life or Alkaline 1.5V Batteries.
•
If the blood pressure monitor is left unused for long periods, please
remove the batteries from the device.
Functional check: Hold the Start/Stop button down to test all the display elements. When
functioning correctly all segments must appear.
Insert the connector on the tube cuff into the cuff jack provided on the left side of the instrument
Tube connection
(Tube cuff + connector):
Set up (or check) the tube connections between cuff and the instrument.
