4.1
Procedure
1. Plug the connecting lead
(preferably), choose the setting which allows the
temperature to be read off directly, given that the
temperature sensor gives out a voltage of 1mV/°C
2. Point the sensor towards the target to be measured and

press on the button
(see § 4.2).
As long as the button is held down, the sensor will
continue to measure the temperature.
3. Record the temperature on the multimeter, taking into
account the transformation ratio sensitivity 1mV/°C.
4.2
Precautions for measurement
I If the surface to be measured is
as close as possible to the surface (less than 50cm away)
(see § 4.3)
I If the surface to be measured is covered in frost or other
particles, clean it so that the surface is clear before taking a
measurement.
I If the surface to be measured is highly reflective, stick matt
tape or apply matt paint to the surface before measuring.
I If the sensor appears to be giving incorrect indications, check
the condition of the lens of the measuring orifice, since it
may be obscured by condensation or particles. If so, clean it
by carefully following the instructions in § 6.3 Upkeep.
