There is a risk that the pump may overturn
during handling; make sure that the pump

remains in a stable position during handling.
If there is no motor, use a belt wound around the pump
head, paying particular attention not to damage the side
coupling covers.
The eyebolts on the motor of the pumps must be used
exclusively to handle the motor alone. (see fig. 2.C pg. 5).
m
According to the machine directive 2006/42/CE,
a pump and a motor purchased separately and
then coupled constitute a new machine. The
person who sees to coupling is responsible for
all safety aspects regarding the combined unit.
Extract the pump from the packaging and check that it is
in good condition.
Check also that the plate data correspond to those
required.
For any defects, contact the supplier immediately,
reporting the nature of the same.
m
In the case of doubts regarding the safety of the
machine, do not use it.
2 GENERAL DATA
2.1 General description
Vertical pumps are multi-stage pumps operating with
clockwise rotation looking at the pump from above the
motor flange.
Non self-priming pump.
Construction with in-line suction and delivery ports.
Water tightness is guaranteed by a normalised
mechanical seal applied to the inflow hole of the shaft.
Available flanging:
F - Round Flanges: the pump is supplied without

2.2 Applications
Vertical multi-stage centrifugal pumps are suitable for a
wide range of applications.
From agricultural use to civil and industrial use, for
example: water tanks, watering, irrigation, high pressure
washing, fire protection, climate control etc..
2.3 Pumped liquids
Clean liquids, compatible with the pump construction
materials, without solid particles or fibres.
If the pump is used to pump liquids with viscosity or
density greater than water, a motor with a proportionately
higher power should be used.
2.4 Temperature of pumped liquids
Pumped liquids must remain within certain temperature
limits:
• with EPDM seals: from -30°C to +120°C
• with VITON seals: from -10°C to +120°C
3 INSTALLATION AND PREPARATION
3.1 Ambient temperature
Maximum: +40°C.
In the case where the temperature of the pumped liquid
exceeds 40°C, or if the pump is used in high altitudes
(over 1,000 metres), the power of the motor will be
reduced due to the reduced density of the air used to
cool the same. In some cases it will be necessary to
replace the motor with a more powerful one.
Below is a non-binding chart of motor output based on
altitude or temperature (see figure below).
