How to use your Longines
Phases of the Moon watch
This watch is a precise and reliable timepiece intended for daily use; it is
water-resistant and has a sapphire crystal. It is fitted with a self-winding
Longines L600 movement.
It has been designed to indicate hours, minutes, seconds, the date, the
day, the month and the phases of the moon.
Functions of the two positions of the crown
1. Pushed in
Winding: The natural movement of your wrist will automatically wind
your Longines phases of the moon watch, which has a power-reserve
of 42 hours. It is only necessary to wind the watch manually if it has not
been worn for several days.
2. Pulled out
Adjusting the time and stop seconds: Pull the crown right out; the
seconds hand will stop. Adjust the time by turning the hands in the
desired direction. When the watch shows the time given by the speak-
ing clock, on the radio or on television, push the crown right in.

Adjusting the phases of the moon: The push-piece for adjusting the
phases of the moon is at 8 o'clock. Using a pointed object, press it in
until the full moon appears in the center of the phases of the moon aper-
ture. Check the date of the last full moon in a calendar that gives such
information. Press the corrector push-piece once for each day that has
passed since the last full moon.
Adjusting the date (31 days): The push-piece for adjusting the date
is at 4 o'clock. Using a pointed object, press it in until the indicator
shows the desired date. It is necessary to correct the date by hand at
the end of each month that has fewer than 31 days.
Adjusting the month: The push-piece for adjusting the month is at 2
o'clock. Using a pointed object, press it in until the desired month
appears.
Adjusting the day: The push-piece for adjusting the day is at 10
o'clock. Using a pointed object press it in until the desired day appears.
Please Note: To avoid damaging the mechanism, do not adjust any
functions between 22.00 and 24.00 hours; avoid adjusting the phases
of the moon using the corresponding push-piece between 15.00 and
17.00 hours.
Important: If your watch stops it should only be repaired by an
approved Longines agent.
