10. DISPOSING OF YOUR MACHINE
Environmental protection first!
Your machine contains a lot of recoverable or recyclable material.
When disposing of your machine, consult your local waste collection agency to determine the
proper method of recycling and/or disposal.

Possible causes
After descaling, the rinsing
was not performed properly.
Coffee grounds too coarse,
stale or too dirty.
The pump was unprimed
due to lack of water.
The detachable water
compartment is not properly
clicked in place.
The Claris cartridge has
been replaced but not
primed.
The steam nozzle is
clogged or needs to be
descaled
The milk is not fresh
enough.
The shape of the container
is not appropriate.
The milk is not cold or fresh
enough.
The steam nozzle is not
properly clipped onto the
arm.
The auto-cappuccino
accessory is poorly fitted.
Solutions
Rinse the machine carefully after descaling (see
Section 8).
Try fresher or finer espresso coffee grounds.
Fill the water tank and reprime the pump (see
paragraph 4). Avoid completely emptying the tank.
Click the tank into place by pressing firmly.
See paragraph 4.
Carefully clean (see Section 7) or descale the
steam nozzle (see Section 8).
Use fresh cold milk.
Use a small stainless steel jug.
Use very cold, very fresh milk. Try using a different
brand of milk.
Clip it firmly onto the arm (fig.18.1,18.2).
Insert it firmly into the articulated arm.
