Das Teleskop, besonders das unterste Rohr,
immer vollständig ausziehen, letzteres bis
über die Rastung.
Am Teleskop anhaftenden Schmutz vor dem
Einschieben mit einem Lappen abwischen.

Antenna installation
The telescopic antenna is to be installed left-
side in the front area of the car.
Installation is to be made from the engine com-
partment.
Remove the cover
from the battery left-
side in the engine compartment (Fig. 3).
Disconnect the earthing strap from battery-
minus.
For Diesel models, fold down side wall insu-
lating panel by loosing the two screws
and the clip disc(s)
at the fuse housing of
the preheating system. Loosen plastic clip at
the recess of the sidewall (Fig. 3).
The hole (16 x 19 mm oval) for installation is
provided as standard between fender and
windscreen.
Remove the cover for installation (Fig. 4a).
Preparing the antenna for installa-
tion
Remove the upper parts from the antenna
(Fig. 4a).
Apply the sleeve into the bracket and slide
upon the protective tube (Fig. 5a or 5b).
– In the case of bus / transporters, use
bracket A until 12.95 (Fig. 1, 4a and 5a).
– In the case of the new models, use bracket B
from 01.96 (Fig. 2, 4b and 5b).
Apply plenty of the protective grease to the
contact surface of the antenna as well as to
the bottom of the car body hole (Fig. 4a).
Connect the cable by screwing it tightly (by
hand) to the coupling of the antenna.
Insert the antenna from the engine compart-
ment through the recess into the installation
hole. Pull upwards seizing the extended tele-
scope, adjust to the slope of the car body,
attach the upper antenna parts and tighten
the nut by hand (Fig. 4a or 4b).
Insert the bracket A into the hole provided at
the edge of the recess and fix with the plastic
nut to the partition (Fig. 4a).
Insert bracket B into the locking hole and the
stud bolt below the oval recess and then fix
with the plastic nut (Fig. 4b).
Adjust the antenna – check the telescope
slope, then finally tighten the plasic nut on
the bracket and the nut on the antenna base
(use a 17 mm socket wrench).
Passing cable
The antenna cable will be passed alongside
the cross wall within the engine compartment.
Above the speedometer shaft a recess
(19 mm dia.) for the antenna cable is provided
(arrow Fig. 7).
Remove the sealing, pass the cable to the
interior – above the central electric and further
to the installation place of the radio.
Fix the cable in the cross wall using the en-
closed grommet (Fig. 6 and arrow Fig. 7).
Replace the parts being removed for installa-
tion and reconnect the battery.
User instructions
Extend the telescope always completely, espe-
cially the lowest tube up to the notch position.
Before retracting, clean the telescope of
adhering dirt using a cloth.

Installation de l'antenne
L'antenne télescopique sera installée à gauche
sur le devant du véhicule.
L'installation part du compartiment au moteur.
A l'intérieur de la voiture enlever le revêtement
gauche
au-dessus de la batterie (Fig. 3).
Débrancher la bande de mise à la masse au
pôle négatif de la batterie démarreur.
Pour les modèles Diesel, plier à bas le revête-
ment isolant latéral en dévissant les deux
visses
et le(s) disc clip(s)
fusibles du préchauffage. Déclipser la fixation
plastique à l'entaille du panneau latéral (Fig. 3).
La forure (ovale de 16 x 19 mm) pour l'instal-
lation de l'antenne se trouve en série entre
l'aile et pare-brise.
Pour l'installation enlever le recouvrement
(Fig. 4a).
Préparer l'antenne à l'installation.
Enlever les pièces supérieures de la tête
d'antenne (Fig. 4a).
Placer la manchette dans le support
correspondant et faire glisser sur le tube pro-
tecteur (Fig. 5a ou 5b).
– Utiliser le support A pour les bus et
camionnettes jusqu'à décembre 95 (Fig. 1,
4a et 5a).
– Utiliser le support B pour les nouveaux
modèles à partir de janvier 96 (Fig. 2, 4b et 5b).
Enduire la face de contact de l'antenne
et la face inférieure du perçage de la
carrosserie copieusement de la graisse de
protection ci-jointe (Fig. 4a).
Visser le câble au connecteur à vis de l'an-
tenne, serrer bien (à la main).
A partir du compartiment au moteur placer
l'antenne par l'encoche dans la forure d'in-
stallation. Relever à l'aide du télescope sorti,
ajuster l'angle d'inclinaison à la carrosserie,
remettre les pièces supérieures de la tête
d'antenne et serrer l'écrou à la main (Fig. 4a
ou 4b).
Placer le support A dans le perçage existant
au bord de l'encoche et fixer à la paroi inter-
médiaire avec l'écrou en plastique (Fig. 4a).
Placer le support B dans le goujon qui se
trouve sous l'encoche ovale et le perçage.
La fixation s'effectue avec l'écrou en
plastique (Fig. 4b).
Ajuster l'antenne – contôler l'inclinaison du
télescope, et pour finir serrer l'écrou au sup-
port et l'écrou à la tête d'antenne (en utilisant
une clé tubulaire à 17 mm).
Conduite de câble
Dans le compartiment au moteur le câble d'an-
tenne sera conduit le long de la paroi trans-
versale. Au-dessus du flexible de tachymètre il
se trouve une ouverture (Ø 19 mm) pour le
câble d'antenne (flèche Fig. 7).
Enlever le joint, poser le câble à l'intérieure
au-dessus de l'unité électrique centrale jusqu'à
l'endroit de montage de l'autoradio.
Arrêter le câble d'antenne dans la paroi
transversale avec le passe-câbles ci-joint
(Fig. 6 et flèche Fig. 7).
Remonter les revêtements enlevés pour l'in-
stallation et rebrancher la batterie.
Avis d'usage
Toujours sortir le télescope entier, surtout le
tube le plus bas. Celui-ci jusqu'au cran d'arrêt.
Avant d'escamoter le télescope, veuillez en
torcher la poussière adhérente avec un chiffon.
