10.6 Barometric pressure

The atmospheric pressure is the pressure at any location on earth
caused by the weight of the air column above the earth. Atmospher-
ic pressure refers to the mean pressure and gradually decreases with
increasing altitude. Meteorologists use barometers to measure the
atmospheric pressure. Since the variations in atmospheric pressure are
strongly influenced by the weather, it is possible to predict the weather
by measuring the changes in pressure.
Press the "PRESSURE (-)" button in normal mode to change between the
current air pressure or the history of average air pressure up to the last
72 hours.
Press and hold the "PRESSURE (-)" button for about 4 seconds to change
between relative and absolute air pressure.
Setting the barometer unit and the relative air pressure
You can set the displayed air pressure unit as well as the relative air pres-
sure of the current location of the weather station in the basic settings.
