Description of unit
The FSA 720 consists of the measuring unit, a power
pack with mains connecting cable for the measuring
device's supply voltage and a USB connecting cable for
connection to a PC. Also included in the delivery are
various sensors for recording values.
The FSA 720 may be damaged by, e.g. falling
if it is not properly mounted. For this reason
injuries or damage cannot be ruled out. The
FSA 720 must always be properly mounted.
Danger of tripping
DANGER – Risk of tripping when trans-
porting and taking measurements with the
FSA 720 and the sensor cables.
The sensor cables represent a greater
tripping hazard during transportation and
measurement.

Always remove the sensor cables prior to
transportation.
¶
Route the sensor cables such that there is
no risk of tripping.

DANGER – Risk of electric shock from ex-
cessively high measurement voltage.
The measurement of voltages in excess of
60 VDC/30 VAC/42 VACpeak using Multi
measurement leads CH1 / CH2 will result in
injury, heart failure or fatal electric shocks.

Never use Multi measurement leads CH1 /
CH2 to measure mains or similar voltages.

FSA 720's plug socket and the connecting cables for the clip-on
sensor.
3.5.3
Measurement lead with voltage divider
The measurement lead with voltage divider
(1 687 224 300) is used for voltage measurements up
to 60 VDC/30 VAC/300 VACpeak. The accessory set
(1 687 016 118) contains test prods (1 684 485 434/
... 435) and pick-off clips (1 684 480 403/ ... 404) as
accessories for the measurement lead with voltage
divider. Never use the measurement lead with voltage
divider to measure mains or similar voltages.
