10. Cleaning and Care
Before cleaning and servicing, ensure that the device has been switched
off and the battery has been removed. Do not use alcohol, thinners or
other chemical and aggressive cleaning agents for cleaning purposes.
Use only a dry, soft cloth. Clean the device if necessary with a brush to
remove grass, twigs or leaf residues. Spray the blade unit with a resin re-

remover are combined in many special products and are commercially
available.
Do not immerse the device in water and ensure that liquids do not get
into the device!
Note: To increase the efficiency of the hedge trimmer and the life of the
blade unit, clean and lubricate the device carefully after each use! The
blade unit can not be replaced but only sharpened.
11. Condition of the blade unit
Inspect the blade unit for wear or bends and damage at regular inter-
vals. If you detect irregularities, you should not continue to use the

department or a qualified technician. If the blade unit is used correctly,
then it should not need any repairs.
