Good results are achieved by tilting the blade slightly (about 5° - 10°) in
the direction of cutting. Move the blade unit in a circular motion without
pausing in between.
Note: Make sure that the blade unit is always away from the body (as far
as possible) to prevent injury!
9. Lubricating the blade unit
If the device becomes very hot when trimming, then it is necessary to
lubricate the blade unit.
Caution! This activity has to be carried out only after stopping the device
and removing the battery.
Allow the motor to cool down before lubricating. To reduce the risk of
fire, you need to clean the device once before. Make sure that any grass,
leaves and plant residues are removed from the blade unit. Use a soft
cloth and possibly a brush for removing the residues.
Lubricate the blade unit using a suitable oil and resin-removing spray.
Oil and resin remover are combined in many special products and are
commercially available.
