1. Remove battery compartment cover. NOTE: Refer to Honda
service information for instructions.
Disconnect positive battery terminal. Refer to Honda service

3. Install winch through opening in front guard. Temporarily
rest winch on vehicle frame and guard (Orient winch with
mounting holes facing up and clutch knob to passenger side).
NOTE: It may be necessary to trim the factory front guard
to allow clearance for winch motor. Using a disk sander,
grind a small surface of the outter edge of the guard
(where the winch motor hits) to allow for winch to fit
properly.
