2. Installation

2.1. Operating conditions

For outdoor operations, we recommend to have at least 700W of heating
power available per square meter. Using the IH-3200-D as an example, the
heater element is 200 cm long; approximately 30 cm on each side will be
heated as well. To the side, a little less than 1 meter will be heated,
provided the heater is mounted at 240cm height, resulting in the picture
below:

Note that in case there is no outdoor enclosing (i.e. no surrounding walls),
more capacity may be needed (and remember: the heaters can be
dimmed, so it's better to have a bit higher capacity and dim it, then having
not enough capacity).
Ideally, use ceiling mounting; wall mounting can cause up to 40% less
coverage, with a maximum of 2 meters from the wall.
