OPERATION INSTRUCTION
1. Disconnect leads from the glow plug(s) to be tested.
2. Connect the red clip of the instrument to the positive (+) battery terminal and the black clip to an
earth point on the engine.
3. Press the test probe (the metal part) onto the glow plug terminal.
4. Observe which one of the LEDs lights and see below for diagnosis.
Defective (short circuit) glow plug
>16A
Higher than 16A in 3 seconds or less = OK
Higher than 16A but in more than 3 seconds = fault
OK
Glow plug is OK
Defective (open circuit) glow plug.
<7A
Defective (high resistance) glow plug.
Defective (open circuit) glow plug.
<10.5V
Vehicle battery is low so that the Glow Plug Analyser
will not function correctly.

environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information or give
the product for disposal to BGS technic or to the dealer where you purchased the product.
