You can choice among 6 different settings:
Turned off The answering machine is turned off and do not take message.
Greeting message only The telephone only gives the greeting message, the caller cannot leave message.
Turned on/2 ring tones The answering machine is activated after 2 ring tones.
Turned on/4 ring tones The answering machine is activated after 4 ring tones.
Turned on/6 ring tones The answering machine is activated after 6 ring tones.
Turned on/8 ring tones The answering machine is activated after 8 ring tones.
Indication: Before using your answering machine, you shall set the date and the time. To do so, read the paragraph
«Setting the date & time».
• Setting the functions of the answering machine
• Recording a greeting message
1. Press [Menu] to access the main menu. Go to the symbol
machine.
2. Go to the menu "Greeting message" and press [OK].
3. The greeting message menu offers a selection of two greeting messages.
Greeting message 1, enabled in "Turned on/ 2,4,6,8 ring tones" modes.
Greeting message 2, enabled in "Greeting message only" mode.
4. Press [OK] to confirm your selection.
5. Then you can choose between "Record" and "Listen".
6. Go to the menu "Record" and press [OK].
7. "Recording..." appears on the screen. You can only record a greeting message of 120 seconds maximum. (Indica-
tion: Speak clearly in the microphone of the mobile handset to make sure the greeting message has been recorded
with the right volume).
8. Press [Stop] to finish recording. The recorded greeting message is heard in speaker mode to control it.
9. To modify the greeting message, proceed as follows: The old greeting message is then replaced by the new one.
• Listening to a greeting message
1. Go to the corresponding greeting message as described below in "Recording a greeting message" and press [OK].
2. Choose the point "Listen" in the menu and press [OK] The desired greeting message is then played. You can stop
listening to the greeting message at any time with [Stop].
• Messages
"New message" is displayed as soon as new messages have been recorded. On the base station, the green LED of
the answering machine (Message/line) flashes.

1. Press [Menu] to access the main menu. Go to the symbol

2. Go to the menu "Turned on/ ring tones" and press [OK].
3. Use the keys to choose among "Turned on/ 2 ring tones, Turned on/ 4 ring tones,
Turned on/ 6 ring tones, Turned on/ 8 ring tones, greeting message only, answering ma-
chine turned off".
4. Press [OK] to confirm your selection.
Indication: when the answering machine is turned on (Turned on/2 ring tones, Turned
on/4 ring tones, Turned on/6 ring tones, Turned on/8 ring tones), the green LED on the
base station turns on to indicate the answering machine is activated and that the mes-
sages can be recorded according to the corresponding mode.
The new messages are notified by an indicator of the answering machine flashing on the
base station. The symbol
