The compact module K45 is available with 4 inputs. You can connect the input terminals
directly to sensors (PNP) with 2- and 3-wire lines.
1) These modules can be operated in the extended address mode (A/B mode).

To be able to set the address, you require the following:
• the addressing device (Order No. 3RK1904-2AB00) or the programming and servicing unit
(PSG of type METRAtest 36A, Fa. Gossen Metrawatt).
Valid addresses are 1 to 31. Use each address once only.
1) Valid addresses are 1 to 31, and it is also possible to assign a subaddress "A" or "B".
1) The subaddresses are accessible only to addressing devices (masters) according
to AS-i Specification V2.1.
1) As supplied, the modules have subaddress "A"; they behave as standard slaves when
connected to addressing devices (masters) not according to AS-i Specification V2.1.
To start up the K45, carry out the following steps:
Step Procedure
1 Set the address if you want to carry out addressing prior to installation.
2 Arrange the AS-i cable so that the wide edge is at the top (side with inscription),
profile lug as desired.
3 Engage the K45 in the mounting plate and secure with screws.
4 Set the address if you have not carried out step 1.
5 Depending on the module, connect the sensors and actuators to the M8 sockets.
