6.2.4 Check of V-belts

1. Remove the spark plug cable.
2. Dismantle the cover of the V-belts.
3. Check the belts for any damage or missing tension.

High-pressure nozzle clogged or worn
Pressure control to the spray pipe not

Engine speed is too low

Water supply hose too long or insuffi-
cient cross-section
Water shortage due to clogged water
filter
Warm / loose belts
Water shortage due to maximum allo-
wable suction height not being observed
Water too hot
Pump taking in air (only possible during
suction)
Engine's gas control is defective (acces-
sories)
Air in system
High-pressure nozzle clogged or worn
Pressure control to the spray pipe not
properly set up
Engine speed is too low
Warm / loose belts
4. If required, replace the belts.
5. Mount the cover.
6. Mount the spark plug cable.
Solution
Vent the system and use the sprayer several
times at short intervals, if necessary dismoun-
ting the spray pipe (see section 4.2.2)
Clean / change high-pressure nozzle
Set the operating pressure you require
Push the gas lever in the "maximum" direction
Tighten the V-belt
Completely open the water tap
Defrost the machine along with the accessories
Use at least ¾" hoses; maximum length 25m
Clean the water filter in the water connection
(never use without the water filter!)
Tighten the V-belt

Check the airtightness of the suction system.
Re-vent
Accelerate more lightly / Call the Storch custo-
mer hotline
Vent the system and use the sprayer several
times at short intervals, if necessary dismoun-
ting the spray pipe (see Para. 4.2.2)
Clean / change high-pressure nozzle
Set the operating pressure you require
Push the gas lever in the "maximum" direction
Tighten the V-belt
