4. Operation
WARNING : Do not use this device to measure the temperature of surfaces under a tension in excess
a) Preparations
1. Allow the device to warm up for at least 30 seconds after the thermocouple has been connected.
2. The output voltage may become unstable and the readings inaccurate if the device is used in the vicinity of noise-
generating equipment.
b) Temperature Measurements
1. Connect the thermocouple with the module.
2. Use the slide switch to select either °C or °F.
3. Connect the thermocouple's output plugs (V and COM) with the multimeter's input terminals (V and COM). Mind
the polarity !
4. Select the "DC mV or V"-range on the multimeter.
5. Use the tip of the thermocouple to measure the temperature of the selected surface.
6. The measured value is displayed on the multimeter's LCD.
5. Maintenance
WARNING : Remove the thermocouple prior to opening the housing in order to avoid the risk of

the temperature in a microwave oven may cause burns or serious damage to the device.
