• Connect the output of the power supply unit
(12 V DC) to the solenoid valve.
• Fasten the cable so that it does not drop into the
water-bearing area under the solenoid valve.

Connecting the backpressure sensor
The backpressure sensor notifies the building
management system about backpressure in the
trap. If there is backpressure, the building
management system must initiate appropriate
actions; for example, triggering an alarm and
closing the solenoid valve.
Connection specifications for the switching output:
Designation Value
Contact load ≤ 50 V DC / ≤ 500 mA DC
Type Break contact (NC)
Rules for connecting the backpressure sensor:
• Connect the backpressure sensor switching
output to a digital input of the building
management system.
• The backpressure sensor switching output must
not be used to switch the solenoid valve.
• Fasten the cable so that it does not drop into the
water-bearing area under the solenoid valve.
