Choose a cooking cabinet tempera-

ture no higher than 150°C in order to
avoid giving the smoked food a bitter
taste.
Once the timer has gone off, if the
n
food is not yet done to your liking,
dispose of the ashes, fill the Var-
ioSmoker with new smoking mate-
rial, and continue smoking the food.
You can extend smoking time by
n
keeping the food inside the smoke-
filled cooking cabinet with the door
closed.

Accumulated grease or food residue in
the cooking cabinet
Failure to clean the VarioSmoker
sufficiently could result in food residue
or accumulated grease creating a fire
hazard.
Clean the VarioSmoker after each

use.
7.1 Care products
Suitable care products
Clean the VarioSmoker using a com-

mercially available degreasing cleanser
and a soft cleaning sponge.
Spray any heavily soiled areas with a
n
water-soluble degreaser and let it soak
in.
Unsuitable care products
Do not use any of the following products
to clean the hood -
Scouring agents

Hydrochloric acid, lye, sulphurous sub-

stances, or other oxygen-consuming
agents
Undiluted alcohol, methanol, or solu-

tions such as acetone, benzene,
toluene, or xylene
Oven cleaner or grill cleaner

High-pressure cleaning jets

Sharp or pointed tools
n
Do not clean the VarioSmoker inside
n
the cooking cabinet.
Do not use the unit's automatic clean-

ing functions to clean the Var-
ioSmoker.
Unsuitable cleaning agents could damage
the VarioSmoker.
7.2 Cleaning the VarioSmoker
CAUTION
The VarioSmoker heats up during use
Cleaning the VarioSmoker when it is
still hot could cause burns.
Allow the VarioSmoker to cool down

before cleaning it.
Do not use the hand shower to cool
n
the VarioSmoker.

Start by discarding ashes into a fire-
proof container.
1. Switch the VarioSmoker off using the
power switch.
2. Disconnect the VarioSmoker from the
power supply unit.
3. Remove the metal sheet insert using
the release tab.
