108P SELF-POWERED COAXIAL ENCLOSURE
The 108P enclosure is a compact self-powered model of the L-ACOUSTICS
The 108P contains a 1.5'' diaphragm compression driver coaxially-loaded by an 8'' low frequency transducer mounted
in a bass-reflex tuned enclosure. The 108P is self-powered and based on a 2-way active design. The 108P cabinet is
made of first grade Baltic birch plywood to ensure maximum acoustical and mechanical integrity.
The 108P enclosure operates over a frequency range of 55 Hz to 22 kHz. This response can be extended down to
40 Hz with the addition of the SB15P subwoofer. The coaxial transducer arrangement produces a 100° axi-symmetric
directivity output along with a smooth tonal response free of secondary lobes over the entire frequency range.
Its design makes the 108P perfectly suited to various sound reinforcement applications, such as front of house,
distributed applications and half-space loading operating conditions. When the 108P is laid down on one of its side for
monitoring applications, its wedge shape provides a site angle of 30°. The 108P can also be pole-mounted by using the
integrated socket, or flown by using the ETR8-2 bracket.
An embedded DSP module manages the crossover network, the time alignment, and a dual-protection circuit for both
drivers. The acoustic performances of the loudspeaker enclosure will depend upon the used preset and the chosen
physical configuration.
