3. Installation
3.1 Enclosed parts
A. Foamed plastic tape 10x100x460mm
B. Foamed plastic tape (D-strip) 5x10x1840mm
C. 4 screws 4,2x25mm
D. Front panel with 4 screws
3.2 Instructions for installation
1. Attach the broad foamed plastic tape (A) to the lower edge of the opening with the glued
side down.
2. Push the refrigeration unit into the opening from the outside of the cold room until it
stops against the flange and screw it to the wall with the 4 enclosed screws. NB! The
screws on the flange should only be tightened until the rubber seal is pressed lightly
against the wall.
3. Screw the front panel in place.
4. Insert insulating material into the space between the refrigeration plant and the opening
from the cold room side. NB! Do not use spray foam, which hardens.
5. Fix the D-strip (B) round the unit so that the mouldings are pressed against the D-strip.
This is important for stopping any vibrations being transferred to the wall construction.
Cut the mouldings round the plant to fit, press them lightly against the D-strip (B), and
tack them to the wall.
6. NB! The plant must be kept standing the right way up for 2 hours before switching on.
If the lead is not long enough do not extend the cable. An electrician must install a
10 amp (13 amp) socket nearby. Never leave the cooler running permanently on an
extension cable.
See Chapter 7: Figure 2
4. Maintenance/instructions for use
IMPORTANT!
Loading large amounts and opening/closing the door often will increase the running time of
the compressor, and it will take longer for the desired cold room temperature to be reached.
Keep the door closed as much as possible!
4.1 The general maintenance of your new refrigeration unit.
It is important to establish a routine for cleaning the refrigeration unit every three months.
This is most simply done by unscrewing the 4 screws and taking off the front panel.
Carefully clean the condenser, which is then visible. Use a brush or a vacuum cleaner. Be
carefull not to damage the thin fins on the condenser. You must also open the panels on the
cold side to clean the evaporator and the evaporation dish. Replace the panels after cleaning.
It is very important to clean the interior of the cold room regularly in order to avoid mould,
odour etc. Mild soapy water is recommended for cleaning the cold room.
See Chapter 7: figures 2 and 3.
