ABOUT PROPANE-FUELED EQUIPMENT

1. Use propane fueled equipment only in well ventilated
areas. When propane burns, it creates carbon monoxide,
a colorless, odorless gas. Breathing carbon monoxide for
an extended period of time may be harmful or fatal.
2. If you experience headache, drowsiness or nausea, stop
engine and get fresh air immediately.
3. Always keep propane tanks out of the reach of children.
4. Never expose propane tank to sparks, flames or heat, as
this may result in explosion or fire.
5. Never store propane tank in direct sunlight or in any area
that may exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit (49 degrees
Celsius), as these conditions may result in explosion or
fire.
6. Always use propane tank until it is completely empty.
7. Never

8. Never place propane tank in luggage and never transport propane
tank by train or aircraft.
9. To properly discard disposable propane tanks contact your local
garbage collector or recycling center.
10. Do not puncture a propane tank or canister, as this may result in
explosion or fire.
11. Never start or run an engine when there is a suspected propane
leak, which can usually be identified by a sour, "rotten egg" smell.
If the smell of propane odorant is overwhelming, leave the area
immediately and call your local fire department for assistance.
12. Never use propane fueled equipment near sparks, flames, or any
other ignition source that could ignite leaking gas.
13. Visually check propane tank and engine fuel-line seals before
connecting tank to engine. Never connect propane tank to engine
with damaged or missing seals.
14. When connecting propane tank to engine fuel line, hand-tighten
only. Over-tightening may damage propane tank seals or engine
fuel-line connector.
15. To check for a suspected propane leak, place soapy water on
connectors and watch for bubbles. Do not use unit if a leak is
found.
16. Always disconnect propane tank from propane regulator for
transportation or storage.
17. When propane tank is removed from regulator, replace black vinyl
cap (part #4271) on the regulator.
18. Propane is flammable. Caution must be used when handling or
storing your Jiffy Ice Drill's propane tank.
