Do not grab on or in the vibration unit during the shaking procedure.
Do not install a vial during the shaking procedure.
Do not remove a vial during the shaking procedure.
Set the power switch to off and wait until the vibration unit and the fan to stop before any activity.
Obey these safety precautions:
• Do not use damaged glassware or apparatus. Discard all damaged equipment and replace it.
• Make sure that the vials are filled up to maximal 3/4.
Always do the steps that follow in the order shown:
1. Connect the plug-in power supply unit to a power socket.
2. Install the vials fully into the vibration unit (up to ground contact).
3. Set the power to on. The shaking procedure starts. The time will beep after two minutes and the
procedure stops.
4. Remove the vials.
5. Disconnect the plug-in power supply unit from the power socket.
The instrument can be used for shorter shaking times. Set the power switch to off any time to
interrupt the shaking procedure.
Section 5 Maintenance
Chemical exposure hazard. Obey laboratory safety procedures and wear all of the
personal protective equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are handled. Refer to
the current safety data sheets (MSDS/SDS) for safety protocols.
Personal injury hazard. Broken glass can cause cuts. Use tools and personal protective
equipment to remove broken glass.
5.1 Clean the instrument
Keep the instrument clean to get continuous and accurate operation.
Never use cleaning agents such as turpentine, acetone or similar products to clean the instrument.
Do not leave visible moisture on the instrument. Moisture can penetrate and damage the
electronics inside.
1. Set the instrument off and disconnect the plug-in power supply unit.
2. Clean the surface of the instrument with a soft, moist cloth and a weak soap solution.
3. Dry the surface of the instrument with a lint-free cloth.
