• Briefl y press the "MODE" button several times to switch between the different display modes:
Hour : Minute : Second
Hour : Minute : Day of the week
Hour : Minute : Day of the week (for second time zone)
Hour : Minute : Second
(for second time zone)
Date: Month (or Month : Date)
If data for the second time zone are shown, "ZONE" appears above the time display.
Setting the time zone
• Briefl y press the "MODE" button several times, until "ZONE" appears above the time display.
• Press and hold the "MODE" button, until the indication for the time zone fl ashes in the bottom display line ("0:00+").
• Set the time zone using the "▲ " or "▼ " button (keep the button pressed longer for quick adjustment). The range is
between -13 and +15 hours (displayed "13:00-" to "15:00+").
• Briefl y press the "MODE" button to store the setting and end the setup mode.
Selecting the alarm function
Briefl y press the "ALARM" button several times, until the desired alarm function appears.
Symbol "
W": The alarm function will be activated only on the workdays, Monday to Friday.
Symbol "
S": The alarm function is triggered only once; then it is automatically switched off ("OFF").
Symbol "PRE AL": At low outdoor temperatures, below 0 °C (measured by the outdoor sensor with Channel 1), the
so-called pre-alarm is triggered at an adjustable time (15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes) before the actual alarm time. This
means you will have enough time to scrape the ice off the windscreen of your car, for example, or to shovel snow.
For the pre-alarm (displayed "PRE AL") to be switched on or set, either the alarm function "
"
S" must be switched on fi rst.
Switching the alarm function on/off
• Press the "ALARM" button several times, until the desired alarm function appears (see the section "Choosing the
alarm function" or "Displaying alarm time").
• The selected alarm function is switched on (alarm time appears) or off ("OFF" appears in the display) using the
buttons "▲ " or "▼ ".
For the pre-alarm (displayed "PRE AL") to be switched on or set, either the alarm function "
"
S" must be switched on fi rst.
Setting the alarm
• Briefl y press the "ALARM" button several times, until the desired alarm function "
• Switch on the pre-selected alarm function (press the "▲ " or "▼ "), so an alarm time is shown (e.g. "07:00"), instead
of "OFF".
• Press and hold the "ALARM" button until the hours for the alarm time start to fl ash.
Set the hours for the alarm time using the "▲ " or "▼ " button (keep the button pressed longer for quick adjustment).
• Briefl y press the "ALARM" button, the minutes for the alarm time fl ash.
Set the minutes for the alarm time using the "▲ " or "▼ " button (keep the button pressed longer for quick adjust-
ment).
• Briefl y press the "ALARM" button to end the setup mode.
Switching on/off and setting the pre-alarm
The pre-alarm is triggered before the actual alarm time ("
measures a temperature below 0 °C. The time for the pre-alarm can be set to 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes.
Example:
You set the alarm time to 06:00 and the pre-alarm to 45 minutes. If the outdoor sensor (Channel 1) is measuring a
temperature below 0 °C at 05:15, the base station emits an early alarm signal.
• First switch on an alarm function, either "
• Then select the pre-alarm, briefl y press the "ALARM" button until „PRE AL" appears in the display.
• Switch the pre-alarm on or off using the "▲ " or "▼ " button.
When the pre-alarm is switched off, "OFF" is displayed.
When the pre-alarm is switched on, a time of 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes is displayed.
• Press and hold the "ALARM" button, until the displayed number (15, 30, 45, 60 or 90) fl ashes. Adjust the minutes
for the pre-alarm, using the "▲ " or "▼ " buttons.
• Briefl y press the "ALARM" button to end the setup mode.
Stopping the alarm signal
When the alarm signal sounds at the set time, it can be silenced by pressing the "ALARM" button.
Choosing the outdoor sensor
The base station can receive and display the measured data from up to 3 outdoor sensors. Each
outdoor sensor must be set to a different transmission channel.
The outdoor sensor enclosed is set permanently to "Channel 1"; this cannot be changed.
The sensors available as accessories have a channel selection switch, which you set to Channel 2 or
Channel 3.
Briefl y press the "CHANNEL" button, to select the desired outdoor sensor for temperature/air humidity. The cor-
responding channel number is shown in the upper left of the display.
Switching outdoor sensors automatically
If you use more than one sensor, the base station can also switch automatically between up to 3 channels. The
measured values from one sensor are thus displayed for 5 seconds, the display then switches to the next sensor.
This function is only possible if more than one sensor is registered at the base station.
• To activate the function, press and hold the "CHANNEL" button, until the symbol "
of the display.
• If you want to turn the function off again, press and hold the "CHANNEL" button, until the symbol "
pears.
W" or "
W" or "
S"), if the outdoor sensor (only Channel 1)
W" or "
S".
" appears in the upper left
Display of the minimum/maximum values
• If you use more than one sensor, select the corresponding channel (1, 2 or 3) with the "CHANNEL" button.
• Briefl y press the "MEM" button; the minimum values for the temperature and humidity are shown in the display,
along with the indication "MIN".
• Briefl y press the "MEM" button again; the maximum values for the temperature and humidity are shown in the
display, along with the indication "MAX".
• With a further press of the "MEM" button, you return to the display for the current measured values.
Erasing the minimum/maximum values
Press and hold the "MEM" button for three seconds. The minimum and maximum values are then erased.
The current measured values are saved as the new minimum and maximum values, until there is a
change.
Trend display for temperature and air humidity
The arrow symbol above the indoor/outdoor temperature and indoor/outdoor humidity shows you the current trend for
the values (rising: „
Comfort level
The comfort level is displayed above the indoor temperature/humidity. This is calculated from the combination of
indoor temperature and humidity: "COM" = ideal, "WET" = too humid, "DRY" = too dry).
Transmission range
The transmission range of the radio signals between the outdoor sensor and the base station is up to 30 m under
optimum conditions.
This range data refers to the so-called "free-fi eld range." However, this ideal arrangement (e.g. base
W" or
station and outdoor sensor on a plain, even meadow without trees, houses etc.) never exists in practice.
Due to the different infl uences on the radio transmission, no specifi c range can be guaranteed. However, trouble-free
operation is usually possible in a detached house.
The range can be signifi cantly reduced by proximity to cables, pipes, metal pieces, electronic devices, and similar.
Thick walls, steel construction, laminated isolation glass windows, etc., also reduce the range very signifi cantly.
Disposal
a) In general
W" or
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
S" appears.
b) Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable batteries;
disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to indicate that disposal
in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the relevant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg
= Mercury, Pb = Lead.
You can return used (rechargeable) batteries free of charge at the offi cial collection points in your
municipality, our stores, or where ever (rechargeable) batteries are sold!
You thus fulfi l the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
