2. ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR BAND SAW

THE HANDLING AND USAGE OF BAND SAWS
INVOLVES CERTAIN RISKS.
If the normal safety precautions are overlooked or
ignored, the operator could suffer serious personal
injury.
Read this instruction manual carefully before
using the band saw, in order to be aware of the
applications and limitations of the band saw as well
as its specific risks before using the band saw. Take
the safety regulations and warnings into account.
1.DO NOT operate your band saw until it is completely
assembled and installed according to the instructions.
2.IF YOU ARE NOT thoroughly familiar with the
operation of the band saw, obtain advice from your
supervisor, instructor or other qualified person.
3.MAKE SURE that the cutting blade tension and
tracking are properly adjusted.
4.STOP band saw before removing scrap pieces from the
table.
5.ALWAYS keep hands and fingers away from the
cutting blade.
6.DO NOT attempt to saw stock that does not have a
flat surface, unless a suitable support is used.
7.HOLD material firmly and feed it towards the cutting
blade at a moderate speed.
8.TURN OFF the band saw if the material is to be pulled
back out after an unfinished cut.

2.1 NOISE CONDITIONS

Under normal usage conditions the band saw develops a
sound pressure equal to:
LWA= 84.51 db(A) when operated without a load and at
top speed.
It is recommended to use hearing protection, such as
ear-plugs or earmuffs.

2.2 MOTOR POWER SURGE PROTECTION

The band saw is designed with a power surge limiting
system to protect the motor. When the power
consumption exceeds 4A, the tool will automatically stop.
To restart it, the operator must release the switch and
press it once again to resume cutting.
